Technology obviously powers the social media engine, but who's really riding the train? Are its passengers simply younger generations? Not totally, or I wouldn't be here. Do certain personality types trend up in social media more than others? Are social mediums a fad or fixture? Is communication really improved or possibly hindered by these outlets? I have my opinions, but as I've always said in my seminars "successful communication is not about me." It's about you.
